Yeehaw, Houston! It's Go Texan Day!

Time to channel your inner cowboy and give back to the community!

Get ready for the biggest party in town, Go Texan Day! The kickoff to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo season is here! Show off your Western heritage with rodeo chic boots, hats, and accessories– and join the festivities! At Resource Puhl, we love to share local traditions and the purpose behind them!

Here's how to celebrate and make a difference:

  • Head to Rodeo Roundup in Hermann Square for the official proclamation, delicious BBQ, live music, and photo ops!
  • Watch the iconic Trail Rides make their grand entrance into Memorial Park – a sight you won't forget! ️
  • Join us at the World's Championship Bar-B-Que Contest for an evening filled with mouthwatering Texas brisket 🤤 and Two-Stepping the night away to live music in each tent! Pro tip: Each county sponsors a Go Texan tent and will let you come in for a taste.

Volunteering for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is close to our hearts. The Houston Rodeo is 20 days of the world's largest rodeo and livestock shows, concert performances, competitions for international wine production, world championship bar-b-que, and many agricultural, art and writing scholarship opportunities. This is put on by amazing staff and around 45,000 volunteers. We do it all for the kids!

Just like those amazing volunteers and BBQ masters, Go Texan Day is about celebrating the best of Texas – together! ❤️ We believe in giving back to our community! Through our owner's volunteer work with the rodeo, and donations, we help raise scholarships for kids to further their education or trade. We enjoy uplifting the next generation of Texas stars and entrepreneurs!

Let's make this Go Texan Day one for the books! Share your photos and videos on social media today using #GoTexanDay and #HoustonRodeo, and let's show the world what Western spirit is all about!
